This piece titled Strength is inspired by a twisted dead tree I visit along the river I have walked for over thirty years. I first drew this concept in high school, during a time when my thoughts felt heavier and harder to carry. That early version showed a woman in a dress, suspended in stillness. While the emotions behind it once leaned toward despair, they have since shifted into something steadier and more grounded.

Now, this place holds steady ground for strength magic. I return to it often when I need to keep going. The tree has become a symbol of endurance, rooted in memory and shaped by years of walking forward.

The artwork features a bind rune formed from elder futhark runes. It combines the runes of grounding, protection, strength, war, and knowledge. While bind runes are a modern practice, they are widely used in contemporary rune magic to weave layered meaning into a single symbol.

Do not display in direct sunlight. The colour will lighten over time if exposed over a long period of time.

Printed on handmade, hand-dyed paper with a cotton base.
Each piece of paper varies in size, measuring anywhere from 18x28cm to 19x30cm.
